Has anyone recieved a Financial aid package yet?

Is anyone else here interested in submatriculation? I am definitely interested in the Anesthesia program, but I didn't apply right off the bat. Anyone in the same boat?

That freaks me out a little too, just the thought of losing my spot! But don't worry too much if you didn't take a lab or you took a class online, I really think they will work with you. They seemed lenient about prereqs during the info session a couple months ago. I think a lot of us are in the same boat, so don't freak out.

MorganB29, don't be concerned! I think a lot of BSN second degree applicants are still waiting. I'm sure they have just not gotten around to contacting everyone about it yet. If you are really growing anxious I'm sure you can call and see whats up!

Thanks for your contribution Ruby Vee. My post was meant to further stimulate conversation, and to get more people thinking about the topic. The first two statements were rhetorical questions, meant only to illustrate the polarization between two very extreme viewpoints. I do appreciate your feedback and your expression of opinion.

Do the "seasoned" nurses have a complex due to the fact that individuals much younger than them are their superiors? Or are the "baby" nurses really struggling to apply their knowledge to work-environment situations? The newbies probably have a lot of practical knowledge to learn from the veterans, but the veterans should be aware that the face of nursing is changing and becoming more educationally based and degree-oriented.

Hey everyone, Any advice for future applicants? I am currently a candidate for the Accelerated BSN program at Penn, and I am hoping to submatriculate into anesthesia. I know how competitive nurse anesthesia is, and I am looking to get started now. Any advice?

Hey Everyone, Are there any other ABSN-only applicants here? I just received an interview! I have a feeling that the ABSN only applicants are in the minority in this thread! Congratulations to all who have applied and interviewed in their specialities! It is great to have ambition and to know exactly where you want to be as an advanced practice nurse. I hope to submatriculate into Anesthesia. Anyone else an ABSN only applicant?
