2018 UPenn BSN/MSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Greetings fellow 2018 UPenn BSN/MSN applicants! Just thought I could start a thread for the incoming applicants so we can help each other out through the application process.

Does anyone know if we need to submit separate transcripts for study abroad programs if it's already clearly stated on our official undergraduate transcript? Thanks! : )

I'm wondering if anyone knows whether everyone who is being considered for admission will recieve an interview by January 31st? It was a little unclear in the email sent a few months ago. I applied for the FNP track and since they are not interviewing, are they instead interviewing for the ABSN portion?

This waiting is driving me crazy. They also only asked for the mid-term report and never for final pre-req grades. Does anyone know how we're supposed to submit those?

Thanks!

You should submit your transcripts containing your final pre-req grades just like you submitted your transcripts initially - have your transcripts emailed to [email protected] and they'll upload the transcript to your application.

Great, thank you! Do you know if we also need to mail them again?

I didn't submit any of my transcripts to Penn by mail since they accepted electronic submissions - if your school provides official transcripts via PDF (not just unofficial) I don't see why you'd need to mail them too!

Are they interviewing the ABSN students?

Hi all,

I also got a "If for some reason you do not end up at Penn during your BSN, please consider us for your MSN." response, which is making me feel better now that I know others received similar messages from their interviewers.

Filomena had said in a previous email, "Admissions decisions will be available in early February, around Feb. 8, or 9th. An email will be sent to inform applicants when the decision is posted to your application portal." So assuming that is still true, it looks like another 2.5 weeks of waiting...

Thanks for this!

I did some digging, and last year they found out February 8th as well! (They being the 2017 versions of us haha)

Gotcha! Thanks for confirming :)

Does anyone know if we could defer the admission to another year if we are to be accepted?

My friend applying to the ASBN alone got contacted for an interview!

Do you guys think we'll be getting an email this week about when decisions will be available?

God I hope so

But I think with the prospect that they'll be sending the final decision Feb 8th, they might just forgo giving a status update

Yes, I applied to ABSN and had a phone interview.
