UPenn application 2021

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Decided to create this thread. Anyone else applied? Any insights on the interview process? Can anyone who has been through the process share their experience? Just turned in my application before the deadline.

- when do we get called for interview

- what's the sparkhire video interview like?

- is the interview behavioral or clinical based or both?

Thank you in advance

I got an email for an interview today! Does anyone know any specific questions that they would ask?

When did you submit your application? I submitted mine at the end of July and haven't heard anything...Good luck and please keep us posted. ?

I got notified of an interview last week! I can’t wait and am so excited. I would love more than anything to be a student of UPenns CRNA program. I have dreamt of getting to this point for 10 years! I can’t believe it’s finally here. I live in AZ now and am in the STICU. I lived in Pittsburgh PA for a year and a half and worked in the MICU. Does anyone know how many people they interview?

Hey when is your interview? I think they are interviewing about 40 candidates

They are interviewing 60-80 people, I hit them back to ask! 28 spots, 10 people will be allowed to wait list

My interview is in March. Do you have one as well?

80 interviews... Feb - March?

Anyone know specific questions that they will be asking?

Anyone know when they plan on letting know the applicants about their decision?

I have mine in a couple weeks, I’ll post on the specifics when I’m done :) Community, shared experience, and all :)

I appreciate anyone who has done their interview to post what it was like/what did they ask/ written exam stuff...

I already completed my interview in January, so they’ve been interviewing from Jan 9th until March. Decisions will be end of March, early April

community was great, everyone is super nice, and it’s tough competition since everyone I met that day definitely deserves to be there

@TreeKittyThanks for sharing your experience! I’m so excited to interview. March and April feel very far away...

Did you go through a panel interview? Is there also a written exam?

There is no written exam. You are typically interviewed panel style. The PD and assistant PD. Good luck ?

Biggest tip I got on this thread is pretty much accurate. Know your patient population. Know the drugs you use in your unit and their receptor sites. Be prepared to explain in detail/in-depth anything you say. It's fair game. Hope this helps. Just be yourself.
