  1. Got my acceptance letter yesterday! Spent most of the day crying and celebrating, this was three years of applying for me! Congrats everyone!! Cant wait to meet you all!
  2. Not yet. I reached out and asked the school a bunch of questions, though. Basically, not everyone was offered a waitlist spot. They will not reveal how many people are on the list, nor what our places are. One reply I got said that the waitlist wasn't ranked, and another saying that it was, so I'm assuming it is. Seats will be offered on a rolling basis from now until April 2021. You can remain on the waitlist and still submit an application later this year.
  3. So I got an email today about the update, and although I wasn’t accepted, they gave me an option to wait list. Does everyone get the option to wait list? I thought I remember them saying only about 10 spots or so were going towards the list. I’m trying to figure out if the offers for wait list were limited, or if they’re offering it to everyone and then seeing how big of a pool they have before divvying out the spots. For those that already know they don’t want to attend, please respond back if you aren’t going to take a seat in the class!! ?
  4. Congratulations!! That’s awesome! I can’t tell where there would be an update, but I don’t see any notification. Oh well!
  5. How can you tell? Did you receive an email?
  6. I already completed my interview in January, so they’ve been interviewing from Jan 9th until March. Decisions will be end of March, early April community was great, everyone is super nice, and it’s tough competition since everyone I met that day definitely deserves to be there
  7. They are interviewing 60-80 people, I hit them back to ask! 28 spots, 10 people will be allowed to wait list
  8. Ugh. Bummer. I got a rejection letter from Jefferson... but I got an invitation to interview with Penn! Good luck Jeff class of 2020!
  9. I got a letter today too!! It’s also my first interview. I’m super worried about what to expect
  10. Thanks guys, this is what I needed to hear to calm my nerves about this. Still hoping I get an interview at least!
  11. I spent way too long trying to improve my essays, so I submitted my application Nov 1st (yikes lol). I'm excited to hear that they're starting to message people about interviews!
  12. I'm also struggling with this. BSN GPA is 3.75, but my undergrad science is 2.93 because my transcript is tainted with a D in org chem (B in the lab!) because I was 19 and decided to not to go to class after relationship drama happened. I've retaken gen chem I, II and Bio I to turn my B's into A's to help counteract the organic chem class. The other reason is because, if I do want to take organic, I won't be going in super cold. I've been working in SICU for about a year and a half. I have a research fellowship, I'm involved in a lot of committees... I have at least 4-5 people look over my essays for my schools each time. Passed my CCRN in October, but I haven't taken the GRE yet since it wasn't necessary for 2/3 of the Philly schools. I volunteer my OT in CTICU, Neuro and MICU. Got rejected in 2018, and it sounds like I won't get an interview from Jefferson this year as well, waiting to hear back from Penn. I was trying to move back home, but everyone keeps telling me that my biggest flaw is that I'm stubbornly trying to stay in one city. My only real plan is to take the GRE and to retake organic chem this year, and maybe expand my search.
  13. Still all silent. I'm starting to think I won't get contacted at all. I have a hard time believing they aren't full by now.
  14. I feel the same way. I applied early November, haven't heard anything. My BSN GPA is 3.8, but undergrad is 2.93 because I got a D in organic chem freshman year of college... boyfriend cheated on me and I lost track of a midterm date. 18 year old mistakes I wish I could take back... My grades ever since that year have been all A's and a few B's, and I retook all my lower grades except that organic chem one. If that D wasn't on my transcript, I would have a 3.3 undergrad science and this wouldn't be an issue ? I can't even submit a GRE because they don't accept them anymore. I've been retaking chem classes so I don't go into organic cold, but man it sucks. I've been in contact with Jeff for the past three years and they said that since my BSN GPA is strong that it shouldn't affect me too much, I just can't be first round consideration. Other than that, I have my CCRN and all the other certs, lots of experience in neuro and SICU, etc etc. I had tons of eyes help edit my essays, but my gut feeling is that I won't get an email again this year.
