I am looking to change positions and I have been at my current hospital for 8 years. Looking through some of the posted threads I see that resumes have changed with the profile and professional summaries and listing qualifications and your job duties as qualitative and quantitative. This is driving me crazy trying to figure out the best way to represent myself. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to begin? I have medical-surgical and ambulatory surgery experience.

I would first start a list of your certifications, your places of employment and dates. Your duties that you have knowledge in, your clinical skills, even any leadership skills.
From all of that information, start to form an outline, the most recent place you have worked first.
In your cover letter, sell yourself and your desire for a position other than the one you have.
There are professional job coaches who can help you with your resume, your cover letter and interview skills. Especially if you are thinking that you would like a leadership role it would be of help.
Best wishes in your endevours!!
