UofSC CRNA Spring 2021

Published

Hello! Just wondering if anyone has applied to the University of South Carolina's CRNA program for Spring 2021? It's the last program in my immediate area that still offers a master's so I'm super anxious about getting in.

Has anyone received any emails, good or bad, today at all???

They do send out rejection letters, all by email. Good luck, guys!

Remember that if you aren’t accepted this time, the application portal for the doctoral program will open around August. That program will begin in June 2021 with 6 months of online course work and designed for you to continuing working. Then January 2022 you would report to campus as current cohorts would. It’s a great plan!! This final MSN program was ridiculously competitive, so your chances at the DNAP program will be much better. Hope this helps!

I also got my acceptance letter yesterday too! Congratulations all, should we make a group page for those that got accepted?

Yes, it would be great to have a page for all those accepted!

Those are great points p31Lady. I had always wanted to seek the DNP at some point, so maybe my chances will be better now. Here’s to still hoping and keeping the dream alive!

Thanks @p31Lady! Do you happen to know if all acceptance emails have been sent by now?

CONGRATS to all who have gotten acceptance letters! I am still waiting to hear. Are you guys going to Columbia or Greenville?

They have been slowly sending out acceptance letters since Wednesday. I was waitlisted last year, and I know at least 4 people in my class were pulled from the waitlist. Last year and this year were fiercely competitive with people from all over the country applying for the MSN. The competition will even out for the first DNAP class. They spend hours deliberating because there are SO many great applicants! Ultimately, it comes down to personality and how much shined in your interview. They are looking for confident humility and a positive attitude! Please don’t hesitate to reapply if you don’t get in this year. It’s a really great program all the way around, and our faculty is amazingly supportive. You just don’t find that everywhere.

Thanks for the info! Do you know if the Greenville and Columbia campuses are different in terms of sending out emails? No one in my CV unit at Greenville have has anything yet.

No, the letters go out as Kevin gives the names to Belinda, regardless of campus. But Greenville is extremely competitive because there are only 10 or so spots.
