UofSC CRNA Spring 2021

Hello! Just wondering if anyone has applied to the University of South Carolina's CRNA program for Spring 2021? It's the last program in my immediate area that still offers a master's so I'm super anxious about getting in.

Awesome! Are you in South Carolina? Have you heard much about the program? I'm bummed about having to wait until May to hear back instead of April.

I'm not! I'm currently in GA; haven't heard much about the program really, but I did speak to a past student/anesthetist about it a little! I'm bummed about that part too!! We just have to be patient. ?

Hey - I also applied and got an interview in June via webcam. This is gonna be interesting how this works. Anyone else get an interview? From what I read on the boards, theyll let u pick a pt and then question on what to do etc? Had an interview in the midwest and they didn't ask one clinical question - all personality so this will be definitely tougher...?

I also got an interview. I also read about picking a patient and elaborating on how to care for them. I've read the interview is intense. I'm so excited we heard back sooner than later. It appears they are still sticking to the original time line of interviews in late May/ early June.

I also got an interview... for June 4. When are y’all interviewing? I can’t wait! Eager to get a little more info. Yeah I’ve heard the interview process is challenging but I’ve also heard they’re very polite and easy to talk to. I think the key is going to be ready to speak to your critical care experience accurately and in detail. I probably won’t spend much time reviewing topics I don’t work with much.

I heard back on Thursday. They may still be reviewing ... especially since the deadline has been extended to May 1.

I also found out on Thursday! Don’t fret!

I heard Thursday as well! I interview May 28th. Glad we heard back sooner, but since the deadline isn't here yet, I'm sure they're not done choosing ? I'm so nervous! I've heard the same about the interview.

Yea I heard on Thursday as well. CONGRATS on everyone who got an interview. I think it'll be a lot easier since we can do the interview from home. does anyone have any More info on how the interview works? Is it just one patient scenario? I heard south carolina has a low attrition rate - 3% I think
