UNLV Summer 2016

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone else is going to apply for the UNLV SON 2016 in the summer. I'm hoping to make this thread a place where we can all talk together about our path to nursing school! :)

I know it's super weird! But I'm happy for those who got calls and will be getting calls. Gonna be applying for Fall :yes:

Welp, I got my rejection letter :( The semester's cutoff is unusually high this time around, but congrats again to everyone who got admitted! Reapplying for the fall semester and I hope to see you guys then! :3

Did anyone get a nursing school financial aid package for the summer. I have a balance of about $7000( btw I am out of state). So are they promising us any student aid? What aid is available? Do we need to get loans? Does the school of nursing provide any loands for us or I am stuck with private loans?

ANY Advice? Please help?

As far as I know, you have to apply for the summer term financial aid. I think they started taking applications last month. So if you haven't utilized the full value of your financial aid for the year (fall & spring), then you will get the money for the summer. However, if you have used all of it, then I'm afraid you won't get any aid. There are several nursing scholarships that UNLV offer. If you go to the financial aid website, you should see the scholarship link in there.. although, you may have already missed the scholarship application date for summer.. but it wouldn't hurt to check it out ;)

Can anyone share how points are calculated? I can't find that info on the Web site! thank you! !!
