UNLV summer 2015 Nursing

Published

I am applying for the summer 2015 nursing program and I wanted to create a thread so anyone else that is stressing can vent here :)

I don't think they're done calling people yet, so do not give up hope. I did ask Betty how many applications for summer and she said that around 100. I'm pretty sure that there should not be more than 105 applicants because there were a total of 8 signing sections (2 per week) and there're around 10-14 people in each signing. Ok, I'm done analyzing:)

Good Luck to everyone waiting!

Thanks for the analysis TeenaaB! I am keeping up my hopes up! I wish we knew what sort of order they do the calls in...it looks like it's by score but that is just my guess. I have a higher score than at least 1 person that got in on this thread but did not get a call yet. I am hoping it will be my best Monday ever! Lol!

It is very likely that I did not calculate my points correctly.

I recalculated my score after i realized my Nurs 299 class was 3 credits and I have a 91.06. Does anyone know the cut off from Monday? I do believe they are doing it by scores... I guess they punish the people who barely made it by telling them last lmao

incorrect calculations of points is always a possibility. I still don't think they called all 48 people in one day. In past semesters it has been at least 2 days of calls. I am staying positive and will continue to rally for the rest of us! Good luck everyone...don't give up yet!

I might be calculating my math wrong... I mean I took calculus so math 181 which is 4 credits.. and got an A-... maybe they dont care that it's 4 credits :/

MATH 120 and 124 are 3 credits each. I'm not sure if they would count it as 4 credit hours for you. Did you verify with one of the counselors that they will count MATH 181? I took CHEM 110 but not 111, when I transferred to UNLV I had to take CHEM 108 and my 110 was counted as an elective.

siddyq, you would either have 11.1 quality pts for 3 credit hours or 14.8 for 4 credits

To those of you who made it into the program (if any of you are still here)..Did any of you happen to ask what the cutoff score was?

I didnt ask what the cutoff score was though I asked for the # of applicants. It looks like they only called people with 91.5 and up, so there should be more calls on Monday. The cutoff score cant be that high.

TeenaaB, I agree, thanks again!

I didn't ask, sorry. I hate that they made the rest of you wait over the weekend :(
