  1. retaking classes does lower your score a little. instead of getting 3 attempt points for a class you would get only 2 pts (1st section of calculation worksheet). however it can be offset a little if you get an A the second time around. mseiboldt's comment below is correct. even if you get accepted while retaking a class for a higher score, if you fail the class you lose your spot in the program..they count the last attempt. the only score you can improve without hurting the overall nursing score is getting a better score on your HESI. you have 2 attempts but they take the higher of the two scores. hope this helps!
  2. congrats rose and siddyq! siddyq I'll see you on the 20th!
  3. my contract signing is on March 20th from 1-4. She said to bring a credit card to pay for background checks, uniforms and drug screen about $200. More info and instructions will be mailed to us. the actual orientation is on Friday may 8th from 1-5.
  4. calls have resumed if anyone missed it!! i got accepted with a 91.27
  5. For everyone that is still waiting...Don't give up or lose faith, the calls have resumed! Good luck everyone! I hope you all have a super Monday! I got a call this morning at 9:15am ...I'm was accepted into the program!!
  6. mseiboldt, that's okay. It sucks to have to wait but it also seems like the people that applied earlier in the month that had to wait the longest are getting relief sooner. I applied on the 20th and had a lower score than 91.5 so hopefully I get my call on Monday.

  8. TeenaaB, I agree, thanks again!
  9. To those of you who made it into the program (if any of you are still here)..Did any of you happen to ask what the cutoff score was?
  10. siddyq, you would either have 11.1 quality pts for 3 credit hours or 14.8 for 4 credits
  11. MATH 120 and 124 are 3 credits each. I'm not sure if they would count it as 4 credit hours for you. Did you verify with one of the counselors that they will count MATH 181? I took CHEM 110 but not 111, when I transferred to UNLV I had to take CHEM 108 and my 110 was counted as an elective.
  12. incorrect calculations of points is always a possibility. I still don't think they called all 48 people in one day. In past semesters it has been at least 2 days of calls. I am staying positive and will continue to rally for the rest of us! Good luck everyone...don't give up yet!
  13. Thanks for the analysis TeenaaB! I am keeping up my hopes up! I wish we knew what sort of order they do the calls in...it looks like it's by score but that is just my guess. I have a higher score than at least 1 person that got in on this thread but did not get a call yet. I am hoping it will be my best Monday ever! Lol!
  14. Congrats to all of you who got your calls! And for the rest of us...don't give up hope! I calculated my score as a 91.27 and did not receive my call yet. I am sure that there will be calls on Monday.
  15. This is the link to the worksheet I have... http://www.unlv.edu/sites/default/files/page_files/27/Nursing-CalculationWorksheet.pdf The NURS 299 credit hours is either 3 or 4 hours, depending on what it was worth when you took the class.
