Is anyone else planning on applying to UNLV SON for the summer 2014 start?
I know it's hard but everyone just try to stay positive!!! Everything will happen when it's meant to be. I worked with a girl who didn't get into UNLV's program so she applied to Roseman University in Henderson and got in. They do interviews instead of a point system. I don't know anything about the school/reputation/job placement etc.... But it's worth a look!
I'll be applying for this summer as well. I did pretty well in all my classes, and if I am math-ing correctly, I have around 94.19 points.
My signing is on Friday the 14th at 11am. Anyone else?
Does anyone know the checklist of things you need to do if you make it? Even if I don't make it, I'd like to get a start on it because from what I've heard it takes some time and a little bit of money too. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hey everyone just wanted to touch base, I have all my ducks in a row and sitting with 92.6 points or somewhere around there. Hopefully I will be good to go! I have my signing session on the 28th of Feb last possible day at 11am. Hope to see some of you there and best of luck to everyone.
Hey guys I'm actually in my first semester at UNLV SON and it is a life changing experience!! I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have! You can do it on here or email me at [email protected] ! Goodluck! When do you get your calls?!
I think if you can handle it go for it. I have a feeling the workload will be heavy and that work will (and should) come second. I plan to work one day per week to cover childcare expenses while I'm at school. A friend of mine who just completed the program said the nursing faculty will try and scare the dogpoop out of you by saying forget about your job or any social life. haha I don't know if that is true or not, but she says it's not nearly as unbearable as they make it sound during orientation. Hope that helps.
