Is anyone else planning on applying to UNLV SON for the summer 2014 start?

Thank for the inspirational words nathalieislena! Hopefully your faith and determination will get you to where you will be happy and a RN :) im holding out faith to get in this summer but im ready for what's ahead of me!

Hey madidalmaaaa! Welcome to the thread? :) me and you are pretty much in the same boat. I got a 90.5 on the HESI and sitting in 87.95 pts. Ive been freaking out when looking at everyones points but of course im happy for them. Im not sure where you stand as retaking classes and opportunities to improve science grades but my advice is make preparation to apply somewhere else because its only gonna get harder to get into the program. What day is your session next week?

Had mine today! Cool seeing a couple people from this thread and previous NURS 299 sections in there. Hoping the best for everybody. It was also nice that the person conducting the session was someone who I'm sure a lot of us have spoken to from the advising center in the past.

I'm not usually one to put all my eggs in one basket, but I'm kind of doing it here with the whole nursing thing. I'm comfortable with my score, but just the fact that a big part of my future rides on this acceptance is a little daunting.

I know what you mean Ron! My husband and I planned our baby so that he'd arrive before nursing school started. LOL Luckily it only took us 6 weeks to preggo so he's actually 10months now. :) So like you, I've put tons of pressure on myself to get into the program. I've already told my job of 7 years that I'd have to quit by this fall. dun dun duuuuuun Think positive!

Hopefully everyone who had their signing sessions today and yesterday get lucky and get their acceptance calls next month. Im sure most of the people we have talked to on this thread will get in :)
