UNLV SON Spring 2014??

Hi all, wondering if anyone is applying to the nursing program at UNLV for spring 2014? This kills me to ask; but if so, how many points do you have and what makes you want to be a nurse? Good luck to all those hopeful nurses out there☺☺☺

Is it safe to say they're done calling?

I just called and they said that they had already contacted all those that were on their list! So so sorry to those that didn't make it and so happy for those that did!!!!

Maybe they meant they were done for today, I know they get really irritated when people call, so don't loose hope til we know for sure :)

She said they contacted everyone on the list... And that she couldn't tell me the exact cut off..

I am so sorry to those that didn't make it! But I am still here because I never gave up. I haven't applied before but I have been doing these classes for 4 years, including redoing micro and 223 over the summer which was hell! Just don't give up and you will make it at the right time!

I will be at the contract signing on the 15th! see you guys there :up:

katsmeow1977 you said that you did retake micro and bio 223. I was just wondering if you were able to get an A on both of them and I was just wondering how you did on Hesi. Thanks in advance. I have taken all my classes once but I have couple B so I was thinking of retaking some classes as well..

I got my call today. Yay! This is my third time applying! The first time, I still had pre-reqs to complete, so I didn't expect to get in. The second time I had 89 points and just missed it for Fall '13 :(

I re-took the HESI and raised my HESI score from 89.5 to 93. So overall I had around 91.6 points.

Keep trying if you don't get your call! Good Luck!!!

Yes, I was able to get an A the second time around. I was surprised at how much I remembered from the 1st time. I got a 90% over all on hesi. It seems like re-doing the bio's is a waste of time, but if you are determined and put all you have into it, it was sooo worth it.

Thank you katzmeow, I passed all my bios and plan to retake some, it's very humbling but I know it will be worth it :)

As long as you got a B the first time you took one of your science classes, retaking it won't count against you. It will only help you.
