Hello everyone! :)

Since the Summer 2018 cohort is about to be announced, I thought I would start the forum for Fall 2018. Who else is applying? I hope the cut off score isn't as high as it was last fall!

I wish they gave points for volunteering... I feel like that would have made a bigger difference. I don't think the .5 will do much :(

I'm actually really glad they don't. I don't have the time to volunteer lmao

I don't understand the rudeness, but I get the competitive-ness of it all. I am also looking for friends I can study with while I'm in the program, but at the same time, all of my potential friends could also "take" my spot.....

I know all nursing schools tend to be hyper competitive, which is just a disadvantage in the long run. It almost cements in the "eat or be eaten" mentality instead of teamwork and cooperation...but that's just my $0.02.....

OMG RIGHT? I hate how damn rude everyone is being as the application date draws closer. Like there's very little we have control over the closer we get, so I just don't understand it. And don't these people know that friends in the program can help out with studying and just tons of other things? All these rude people have bad karma coming their way that's for sure...

Lol noooo! I'm glad they don't give points for volunteering as well. Even if they started to make that a category, that would be really unfair because a lot of students don't really volunteer because UNLV doesn't require it. So for them to start doing that all of a sudden, I know I would have a ton of hours to catch up on! It would be nice if they did an interview process, though.

I think when people are rude, it's just a way for them to cope with how the program is getting so competitive and the idea that they may not get into it. Still, this gives them no excuse, but just a thought. In the end, we'll all be in the same cohort and hopefully helping lift each other up

Btw, where is everyone else at? haha. Hopefully, everyone else will be wrapping up taking their HESI soon so that we can get a better look at where we all stand.

I think mine went very well. I studied way harder for my micro final than I usually study for other classes, so we'll see how it went. Hopefully well lmao

Hey all! Wanted to update everyone. I ended up getting an A in micro and I've never been more proud of a grade in my life as this was definitely the HARDEST class I've ever taken. So, if I did the math correctly, I'll be applying with 98.3 points. Can't wait to meet some of you at the signing session!
