I really didn't want to be this person. Meaning the one who makes/follows a blog for the cohort they're applying for. Only because I'm usually a carefree person and I know this will only cause anxiety.
Anyways, we're about a month away from the deadline, how exciting!
Good luck to all of those applying. :)
I can't post my full points yet, since I'm still a week away from taking the HESI, but if anyone would like to share their points, please do. Also, if anyone wants to provide any tips for the HESI, that would be great as well.
I called and scheduled a signing session today and wanted to share some information with those who may have procrastinated, like myself. There are 5 days left with spots available: June 4th, June 18th, June 19th, June 25th and June 26th and majority of these only have 2 spots available. So, if you have not yet done so, definitely call and schedule your appointment.
I look forward to getting to know those applying and hopefully starting a new journey with you guys come Fall. :)
I think 95 is on the high end lol most sit around 92. But you will have those people with almost perfect points! A few of my friends are like that!
And awesome! I've been at UNLV for 4 years. I started as pre-med and switched 3.5 years in lol. Found out nursing was my passion after I started volunteering!
That's like me! I took 3 years of PharmD pre-reqs, got accepted to Roseman, then switch to nursing at the the last minute lol. Long story short, I'm from Arizona, and the waiting list for nursing school there is 3 years(my original plan). I started doing pre-reqs for PharmD, since it was going to take just as long. My husbands company went bankrupt when the economy crashed and we ended up moving out here. I had all the classes required for my PharmD, but when I found out how much tuition was for it, and found out there was no waiting list for nursing here, I switched majors. I'll find out if that was a good decision or not soon lol. I would be half way done with my PhD by now, so I really hope I get into nursing school.
Yup! Calculus and extra Bios for me too lol. With a lot of applicants, do you think the point cut off will be higher or lower than normal? I'm really hoping for 89. I'm sitting at 90.02 . She did take both my HESI tests and made note that some scores were higher on my second chance, but I don't know if they will use them.
To be completely honest Fall is 99% of the time always higher and more competitive scores. B/C at UNLV when you are a "pre-nursing" student you should finish in the Spring that way you are able to start in the Fall semester. Usually the cutoff is higher in the Fall. One Fall it was 92.0, I'm praying that this Fall won't be a repeat of that lol.
I'm hopeful though! I always say you have to be sitting above a 90, but Fall is close!

Well that's good! Did you take some classes at CSN? I think I remember reading some of your posts when you were asking about Chem and NURS 299 way back when lol
