UNLV NURSING Summer 2021 COHORT

Just wanted to go ahead and make this for all UNLV students planning on applying for the Nursing Program in Summer 2021. Please feel free to ask questions and post the score you are applying with. I just completed my calculation worksheet and will be applying with a 98.43 (not sure if I calculated it properly). Best of luck to everyone. Also, I just took the HESI today, 12/12/20, so feel free to ask any questions while it's still fresh in my head.

I’m wondering if a lot of people took time off because of Covid? I heard Summer was the “easiest” to get in. Maybe more applicants than normal this time?

Did not get in with a 92.5...I’ve been reading people have been getting in with 91s. This is very disappointing but we always have next semester!

I didn’t get in also with a score of 93.65. I emailed them and asked to see what my score was when they calculated it and what the cut off was. I’m mad because my counselor messed up my application process for the Spring and I wasn’t allowed to apply then.

Yikes. 93.65 should be competitive enough to get into the Summer program considering last Spring!  If not, unfortunately, there were more students applying for Summer. Please update us

She was very kind and said that my score was competitive, but way more people applied than they expected. She said 187 students applied for the Summer.

Update: I got accepted! I received a phone call today letting me know I was next in line after someone denied their acceptance. I am still in shock!

Wooohoooo! I denied my acceptance this morning because I also got accepted to the new accelerated program and I’m pursuing that track instead. So happy for you!
