Unlabeled meds

Ugh. Just got reamed by a parent who sent Albuterol vials in a baggy. No name, no orders, nothing but a note to give it to junior at 11:30. "I don't mean to be sh*** to you but this is just ridiculous" she says at the end of the rant. She has never heard of such a thing.

Ugh. Mondays. Parents. Parents on Mondays.

I get that every now and then. I just give the parents a copy of the policy and let them know they are welcome to come into my office to administer the neb treatment themselves and I will be happy to do it if I have proper documentation - RX label from the package or a note/rx from doctor.
