University of Wisconsin Oshkosh accelerated program, applicant advice?

Published

Hi I am currently looking at the UW accelerated program and I am nervous because I'm not sure of how much work experience as a CNA I should have and if a cumulative gpa of 3.1 is good enough. Has anyone applied and been accepted, if so I could use some advice before I apply for the next fall cohort.

Thanks so much TXAggieRay. Have you had your phone interview yet??

Reapplicants do not have phone interviews. I had another online interview but it was just one question. It was along the lines of "What have you done to strengthen your application this time?"

correction........reapplicants do not get a phone interview unless they had a less than impressive first interview. (that is a good sign for you :)

Just found out I got in!!!!! So excited!!

i'm real sorry to hear that mcinjg28. i know how you feel. if you e-mail sue and set up a time to talk on the phone she will be happy to go over your application and give you advice on where to strengthen your next application. worked for me.

All that's left for me to strengthen it is work in a nursing home or hospital. That's what she told me before I applied. I went from home health to working in group homes, I guess it wasn't enough. Let the job search begin!
