University of West Florida (UWF) FNP Spring 2025

Hello Anyone! I am currently awaiting acceptance into the UWF FNP Spring 2025 Cohort. Is there anyone else a sitting duck with me? I am beyond nervous but also excited to get this journey started. A little about me: I live in the Pensacola area and currently work as a full-time M-F Clinical RN. I spent my first years as an RN working PCU and Covid Pts. I dabbled a bit of time as a Circulator in the OR and now work in Oncology. Good Luck to anyone else waiting with me. 

Hello!  I just applied for Spring 2025.  I haven't had a chance to speak with an advisor yet though.  Does anyone know if clinicals can be done outside of Florida?

Hi Lillian- I do believe so because  I have seen several people on FB posting for clinical in other places across the US.

Hey! My advisor sent me a list of pre approved clinical sites and they are all over the states. He also mentioned there is a form to fill out to get clinical sites approved, so I don't think getting sites outside of FL would be an issue!

Thank you!  I'm in a small town so I have a site and preceptors just in case.  I applied so hopefully all goes well.  😊

I am so glad I found this thread, I applied for the Spring 2025 semester and still waiting for a decision to be made. Does anyone know approximately when acceptance letters will be sent out? Super excited and anxious! Best of luck to everyone that applied!

Hey! We are all in the waiting game together! I was told by my advisor that the earliest we could hear something would be 11/15. Good luck!

Hi!  My advisor called me today and said it would be about 2-3 weeks before I hear something.  She said I would probably receive an email.  I'm honestly trying not to think about it.  Luckily, I have enough going on at work to keep me busy, LOL.  Good luck to you!  Hopefully we'll all be in the same cohort.  😊

My advisor called yesterday said anywhere between Friday the 15 and that Monday Tuesday after which is how it was for the early admissions. The 2 week wait is the hardest but finishing this BSN is keeping me busy enough too.

Don't tell me I have to check my email every 2 minutes starting today 😅😅 I spoke to my advisor and was told the earliest we would know is tomorrow. Did your advisor say different? Either way good luck everyone!
