University of Washington (UW) DNP Fall 2018

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hi all, I couldn't find a thread for those applying to UW for fall 2018 so I thought I'd start one. Anyone else applying? What track? I'm doing psych. Anyone know how many people might be applying this year?

Oh and any tips from those who went to the info sessions? I'm not local so I wasn't able to make it out.

Does PNP stand for Pediatric NP?

Hey everyone! I also applied to the DNP FNP track for Fall 2018. We are getting closer to knowing!!

Does anyone know if we have to apply for any scholarships prior to getting admitted? Just wondering because Duke requires that.

Yea, early March, so close!

And I'm not sure, I think the student services department would definitely know.

Wait where did you hear early March?? I thought the website said April!

Just through talking with one of the advisors. Maybe early March is ideal and it's April at the latest. I think I remember on last year's UW thread, people also got it in early March.

Last year I applied to the FNP track and found out I didn't get on on March 9th. I'm applying to AGACNP program this year... hoping that we hear back soon!

@Telise25 sorry you didn't get in last year, hope this year is better. So, when you heard back from them on 03/09/17 was it via email or letter? Thanks!

Well this year I'm much more prepared and applied to a more relevant program (to my work experience). So my fingers are crossed!

I'm trying to remember, and I'm pretty sure it was via snail mail.

I guess I will be checking my actual mail box then! haha

The more info I'm getting from other programs, the more and more I'm liking the financial situation of UW. It just seems the most reasonable of all of them.

I just got a call from Nurse Midwifery, I'm in!!!!

Congrats!! Were you an early applicant?
