University of Washington GEPN Applicants for 2010 Entry

Did anyone apply to the graduate entry program in nursing (GEPN) at the University of Washington? (http://www.son.washington.edu/admissions/gepn/)

This program is ranked number one by US News and, by all accounts, one of the best in the country.

I got an e-mail from them on Monday:

Admission letters

We plan to have letters of admission, waitlist, and denial for the GEPN program sent out by the end of this week. Please keep an eye on your mailboxes, and let us know if you do not receive your letter by the end of December

It sounds like we should hear something by next week. Did anyone else apply? Maybe this can be the official notification thread.

I applied too, and had a heart attack when I saw that they are sending out decisions so soon! One minute you think you have to go for an interview, then there's no interview, then they're giving you a decision in a week!!! I just hope the letter comes before I go home for xmas on 12/23. I applied as well and have been sweating bullets. From what I've read, they also send an email to those who have been accepted.

Good luck everyone! Since letters will be sent by the end of "this week," I imagine that the latest we'll get them is the beginning of next week.

Where did you read that they also send an e-mail?

Do you guys know much about the school? It seems really good but doesn't get a lot of attention on here.

I applied for the ABSN program, and it appears we are on the same schedule for letters. I have had at least one family member call me each day this week asking if I've heard. I'll post when the letter comes.

I applied too! I cannot wait to find out! It has been kinda stressful, but Im trying not to think about it too much. What programs did you all apply to? I applied to the DNP Family option.

Looking around I think I confused UW's notification system with another school, I guess they don't send emails. I applied to the Psychiatric/Mental Health NP program.

Anyone hear from Washington today? If letters were sent out on Friday, I imagine that some (or most) people should receive them today or tomorrow.

My mail comes in few hours and I'll report back.

Is UW everyone's first choice? I also applied to Seattle U but am not sure which would be the best option since UW raised their tuition.
