Are they done making calls for Cedars? Has everyone who's gotten a call from Cedars been above the preferred 3.5 GPA? Has anyone who hasn't heard from Cedars tried calling them for an update?

Has anyone gotten a call from Cedars today? It seems there haven't been any new calls since Wednesday. Also, the people who've gotten calls, have you all been above the preferred 3.5 GPA? Or have an MSN?

Anyone apply to both Cedars and UCLA? Seems like UCLA is moving a lot faster.

Thanks, Sandman. For those who applied to UCLA in the beginning of the month, what exactly was included in the application materials? Was it just the cover letter, resume, and two letters of recommendation? Is the personal statement (if any) provided later?

I just came upon this thread. Is the application closed?? When I go the following link, it just shows a random job fair: UCLA Events CalendarIt sounds like the application opened in early March. How long is it open and did it close? Is it possible to e-mail the nurse recruiter to submit an application? After application, what's the rest of the schedule like (i.e., when are interviews and when does the new grad program start?). It's amazing how little information there is on the UCLA website. Anyone hear from Washington today? If letters were sent out on Friday, I imagine that some (or most) people should receive them today or tomorrow. My mail comes in few hours and I'll report back.

Good luck everyone! Since letters will be sent by the end of "this week," I imagine that the latest we'll get them is the beginning of next week. Where did you read that they also send an e-mail? Do you guys know much about the school? It seems really good but doesn't get a lot of attention on here.

These responses aren't really what I was looking for. Does anyone have specific information about the programs I listed? I'm just trying to find out as much information as possible and weigh my choices. I'm not tied to a particular location or school, so I'd certainly want to go to the "best" nursing school possible---however "best" is defined!

Did anyone apply to the graduate entry program in nursing (GEPN) at the University of Washington? (http://www.son.washington.edu/admissions/gepn/) This program is ranked number one by US News and, by all accounts, one of the best in the country. I got an e-mail from them on Monday: Admission letters Posted: 14 Dec 2009 12:06 PM PST We plan to have letters of admission, waitlist, and denial for the GEPN program sent out by the end of this week. Please keep an eye on your mailboxes, and let us know if you do not receive your letter by the end of December It sounds like we should hear something by next week. Did anyone else apply? Maybe this can be the official notification thread.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there, but what's considered to be the "best" BSN/MSN program in the country? Based on my research it seems that UCSF, U. of Washington, Penn, and Johns Hopkins are the top programs, and could claim to be the best. Of course there's no universal definition of "best." But some important questions are: (1) which program is the most prestigious or has the best reputation? (2) which program is the most selective, (3) which program gives its students the best employment opportunities, and (4) which program will students choose to attend if they're admitted everywhere? I'm just frustrated because US News rankings give a pretty clear sense of the top law, business, and medical schools. But I don't place much weight on the US News rankings for nursing schools---for all I know, they could be completely meaningless. If anyone has opinions or information about the "best" BSN/MSN program, that would be much appreciated.
