Hi everyone, I just received an interview letter from UT Houston and I was wondering what to expect for the interview. The letter says that the interview will be in 2 parts: a writing sample- what is this about? An exam? What kind of questions should I expect? Thanks a lot in advance.
Wheww... that part is over. Now the waiting game begins . When you arrive (they tell you to come a bit earlier than your appointment time) they will have you fill out a basic questionaire on what course you have left, ect. They also have a survey about computers which, is pretty long but, they are easy questions for someone who uses computers often. Then you will go back for a one-on-one interview. They ask some pretty standard questions. The whole process took maybe 45 minutes, if that long.
I just received my admission letter!! Woo!! hoo!!
CONGRATS!!!!!!! And best of luck to you. I just completed the Rn-BSN program at UT-H (and will be returning this upcoming Fall as a NP student because I liked it so much ); I thoroughly loved the instructors and the course content. I'm certain as a generic student, your program will be quite different and the instructors are definitely different.
BTW...the name of the school is The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHSC-H)--you'll need to know this for the plethora o' papers and presentations you do throughout the program; some will expect you to add School of Nursing. Also, become intimately familiar with APA writing--buy the guide; I promise you it'll make your life easier.
