Hey y'all!
I will be starting UTHSC MSN-CNL program at the end of July and was just wanting to start a forum for all of those who will also be starting the program! I have searched and searched for a forum for this program and I have had no luck at all! I figured this would be a great way to communicate with each other regarding any questions or issues we are having! It will also be a great way to stay in touch during the program!!!
Love and Blessings,
Tori P.

Hey I am trying to apply to UT CNL program as well. Do you know their acceptance rate like what kind of gpa's their are accepting?
They look at the entire person for sure! My GPA was low because my freshman year I had a lot of things happen and my grades were low! They looked at how I made all As and Bs the past 3 years and that weighed heavily on their decision to accept me! The woman who interviewed me (they narrow down applicants and grant interviews to those who they are interested in) said something that really stuck out to them were my letters of recommendation! Make sure you use people who really know you and how hard your work ethic is! I took my TEAS on campus in January and made a 74%. Make sure you study in advance! I began studying really hard about a week before so I could've done a lot better but the national average is around a 65% so you have to score over that to be considered! I'm not sure about their acceptance rates. I was trying to find that myself! Trust me if you work hard and really want it you can make it! I began looking into this program 1.5 years ago and committed myself to making sure I did everything I could to get accepted!

Thanks tori I really appreciate that. I am preparing myself to take the exam this summer. I've been focusing on the chemistry section of the Teas Exam.
Good!!! I was way underprepared for the chemistry questions!!!
What section of the Teas did yu consider the toughest?
Good! I was extremely underprepared for the chemistry questions!
The science section, hands down, because its mostly chemistry! The math is relatively easy because you can't use a calculator so they keep it basic. English in my opinion was very easy, but I've always been better in English! The reading was pretty easy as well, just stay on top of it and keep your eye on the time! I took the GRE a few years ago because I thought I was going in a different direction with school and it was a nightmare! I don't see how anyone does well on it! I was terrified of taking the teas because I felt prepared but thought it was too easy to be true lol!!! It really did turn out to be very basic! Just make sure you study hard in advance! I'm kicking myself because if I would've dedicated more time to it I would've done soooo much better!
Yeah that's what I'm basically doing preparing myself to study in advance for the teas exam. I took it two years ago without studying and did horrible. I gotta recap myself on certain subjects cause it's been a while for me
Yea! Even though the math is simple, it's stuff that I hadn't done since middle school since its all long hand! I had to reteach myself everything including long division hahahaha!
I totally feel where you coming from I haven't taken math in a very long time lol
