  1. Thanks so much! It's so exciting but I'm nervous all at the same time!
  2. Oops, you arent asking me lol! Sorry I replied before I read the entire post!
  3. Thank you so much!! He cooks dinner (he loves to cook) so that won't be a problem! He's very understanding and I think we will be just fine I just have to learn how to control my stress and not lash out on him for something that's bothering me with school!
  4. Hey y'all! I am looking for some advice! I am getting married next Friday and let me say I am so so blessed to have found such a caring understanding compassionate man!! I am so so excited but I am also worried about starting an accelerated MSN-CNL program at UTHSC Memphis at the end of July, so soon after getting married. Are there any words of advice any of you have or anyone who has been through a similar situation? I have warned him its going to be hard for the next 2 years due to me not being able to work and being consumed in school! He is so understanding and luckily he has been blessed with a great job and is able to support us while I'm in school. He is also in the healthcare field (Physical Therapy) so he will be able to help me study a bit and things like that. It's still going to be hard but we are prepared for it! Anyone have any words of encouragement of advice? I sure could use it to reassure myself! Love and blessings! Tori
  5. Thanks so much girl!! I had no idea how stressful it all is!! Lol!
  6. Yes mam we received ours via email a while ago!! We had to have it to pay for our enrollment deposit! They took a little while to send out everything and still are having a few difficulties getting everything together. I am still unable to access the insurance waiver when I put in my birthday and student Id. It says there is no record of either one of them! It's pretty frustrating! I'm getting married next Friday so I'm attempting to have everything completed before then!
  7. I also start fall of 2013!! So excited!! I am really surprised by the amount of UTHSC students on here! I figured it would be way more! Congrats to you :)
  8. Thank goodness someone else responded! Lol! Ive been searching every single day for posts!! Thank you so much!!! So much going on and such a short time to get everything done!! :)
  9. Yea! Even though the math is simple, it's stuff that I hadn't done since middle school since its all long hand! I had to reteach myself everything including long division hahahaha!
  10. The science section, hands down, because its mostly chemistry! The math is relatively easy because you can't use a calculator so they keep it basic. English in my opinion was very easy, but I've always been better in English! The reading was pretty easy as well, just stay on top of it and keep your eye on the time! I took the GRE a few years ago because I thought I was going in a different direction with school and it was a nightmare! I don't see how anyone does well on it! I was terrified of taking the teas because I felt prepared but thought it was too easy to be true lol!!! It really did turn out to be very basic! Just make sure you study hard in advance! I'm kicking myself because if I would've dedicated more time to it I would've done soooo much better!
  11. Good! I was extremely underprepared for the chemistry questions!
  12. Good!!! I was way underprepared for the chemistry questions!!!
  13. They look at the entire person for sure! My GPA was low because my freshman year I had a lot of things happen and my grades were low! They looked at how I made all As and Bs the past 3 years and that weighed heavily on their decision to accept me! The woman who interviewed me (they narrow down applicants and grant interviews to those who they are interested in) said something that really stuck out to them were my letters of recommendation! Make sure you use people who really know you and how hard your work ethic is! I took my TEAS on campus in January and made a 74%. Make sure you study in advance! I began studying really hard about a week before so I could've done a lot better but the national average is around a 65% so you have to score over that to be considered! I'm not sure about their acceptance rates. I was trying to find that myself! Trust me if you work hard and really want it you can make it! I began looking into this program 1.5 years ago and committed myself to making sure I did everything I could to get accepted! Tori
  14. Hey y'all! I will be starting UTHSC MSN-CNL program at the end of July and was just wanting to start a forum for all of those who will also be starting the program! I have searched and searched for a forum for this program and I have had no luck at all! I figured this would be a great way to communicate with each other regarding any questions or issues we are having! It will also be a great way to stay in touch during the program!!! Love & Blessings, Tori
