Hi Everyone!
I finally got an emaill today that I got accepted into BSN program for 2010!!!
Today has to be the moment of my life that I've been waiting for so long. I'm so happy and excited. I live in California but the school is in Nevada so it's a move but WHO CARES! hahaha
So I'm wondering if anyone here got accepted into this program for August 2010.
And those of you who are trying to get into nursing school, please don't give up as I waited nearly 2 years for this. If I can do it, so can you. Keep praying and believe that you will get!

Hey way cool! I live in Las Vegas near USN and am waiting to hear if I got into the program at CSN for fall 2010. I should know in a couple weeks
Nice! Did you also apply to USN?? Hope you get in though! Best luck to you :)

Congratulations!!! I also applied to USN and my phone interview is next week and I am really really nervous. If anyone can share their experience with the essay and interview portion, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you. :)

I will have an interview with SNU in May. I would appreciate it very much if anyone could share experience in the interviews ( esp. the writing part?) Thanks!
@ Dionne999 - I also did a phone interview since I live in CA. When i did it, the written portion question was to define what communication is and what do I think what communication is and what is an effective communication and you need to finish it within 15 minutes. And after that, they called back for the oral interview.
there were 2 nursing professors interviewed me and asked questions such as, " why do you want to become a nurse" "The nursing school is a cohort program thus a team work is very important, would you be a good team player and why?" "who inspired you to become a nurse?" "Why should we accept you as a nursing student at USN" "If one of your team player offended you, how would you resolve the situation?" and such.
it was relatively easier than i thought would be. I just tried to be myself and honest as possible and i didn't want to impress them by over-exaggerating some of the answers just to sound good. Best luck and let me know how it went!! :) afterall we might become classmates!!
@ seek4hope - Where's SNU? I know how you feel, I was once in your shoes. Feeling so nervous and anxious but after you finish it, you feel good and relieved that you are done with it. :) i'm sure you will do just fine!!
@ oneway: thanks for sharing your experience :)
and i was mistaken when I typed SNU. It should be USN. :)
@ Seek4hope - Oh great!! Are you from CA as well?
I got the admission package last week and one thing that i didn't understand was all nursing students who get into this school have to purchase a laptop and it's a MUST. i thought that was weird and unfair. But overall, i'm pretty excited about it.
Let me know how it goes as well! And feel free ask my anything if you have any questions regards to the interviews.
@oneway: yes iam from ca. can i ask you one more question? can you tell me how long the interview was ? this is my first time ever having an interview with a school so i really have no idea how one is. thanks :)
Written portion was 15 minutes, and oral portion was 45 mins so total one hour long.
