University of Southern Indiana FNP Program - Any Info?

Published

I'm reposting because my title didn't come through!

I'm interested in the FNP program at USI - I've heard that it is a very good program. Does anyone have any info to share? How do you like the program? How intense is it? Is the program thorough, faculty helpful and easy to deal with, etc. I'd love to hear personal experiences before I apply.

Thanks in advance!

Know this is old, but I am also interested in applying to USI FNP program. Did you end up applying?

Wondering if either of you tried the program, I am looking into it as well. I found some good comments online and in other threads. It looks like this will be the way I go come Fall 2013. My local college offers it online but at twice the cost! Any input/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Specializes in Correctional Nursing; MSN student.

Would like info as well. Did you apply skiprjim? I just learned about it and don't know if I can make the application deadline. Would love to hear from real live students.

One good aspect of USI is that their program is set up so that you take all general APRN classes first. I'm not sure if you can switch specialties during the program but if you want to switch specialties after graduation it's only 16 cr hours.

Are you a student? Thanks for this info!

No, but I live in indiana and have seriously considered USI. I have also talked to some of the graduate faculty I know through personal friends.
