Hey everyone, I just thought I would start a thread on the USF 2024 DNAP admissions. As the priority deadline of August 15th is approaching fast, I would love to hear from others.
ICUGUYTOCRNA said:Hey Brandon, they do not make anyone aware if they are admitted or not until after August 15th the priority deadline. From the past forums it looks like people who interview before the priority deadline find out between august 19th-30th. When did you submit your application? How long after we're you invited to interview? I got the under review email a little over a week ago.
Sounds good, thank you!
I submitted my application on May 17. I got the "under review" email on May 19. I received an email inviting me for a (June 23 interview) on June 10.

That's such a fast turnaround time! My under review email took almost 2 weeks. I haven't heard anything else back.
how was your interview?? How long and did they drill you on clinical stuff?

My interview is tomorrow morning and they make you sign an NDA about the interview so they must be very strict about it. I'm hoping for the best because this is my #1 choice school.

Oh OK, thanks Brandon appreciate it. My application went under review on the 10th I am hoping to hear back soon. CRNAPIL they are very strict about sharing interview information Dr. Canale actually replied in one of the the old forums and had to say something to someone for sharing interview information. They care very strongly about integrity. Based on the program the be prepared for anything. Have strong emotional intelligence and know your clinical basics I am sure you will do great. If you guys don't mind me asking how were your stats? That's one of the things I stress about most but I know it's bigger than just stats. Just hoping to get an interview so they can get to know me as person.

Thank you!! I appreciate it. I honestly had no idea. As for my stats I don't have a great GRE but I am also hoping that they interview me and get to know me as a person.
I have 3.5 overall GPA
Science/nursing is 3.78
MICU 1 year and CCU 1 year
Charge and preceptor
CCRN
I have some volunteer and internship but I don't even think I stated it and I didn't put on my resume so we'll see LOL! This is definitely one of my top schools too.

My GRE isn't so hot either, you will be okay! I am putting all my eggs into one basket right now with USF. I just believe they will set me up with the best opportunity to be successful. The facilities are very much superior, having the opportunity to use CAMLS is amazing, there is an a large number of clinical sites, and just from reading I feel the faculty truly cares about student success. I have friends in the program now, they all say great things. I also see a lot of the students at my hospital and they seem much better prepared and proficient in contrast to others. Hopefully we will all be joining each other next May!

3.5 undergrad
3.7 science
3.4 nursing
GRE 302 and 5.0 writing
CCRN, preceptor, 40+hrs shadowing, 100+hrs volunteer, I'm on the skin team on our unit.

It's an amazing school! I applied to a few cause I think there are many great programs out there but I wish you the best of luck!! I also got like 40+ shadowing hours with a CRNA. I don't know how much they look at that but I'm sure it helps.
And yes! hopefully??
