Hey everyone, I just thought I would start a thread on the USF 2024 DNAP admissions. As the priority deadline of August 15th is approaching fast, I would love to hear from others.

hello! not sure if anyone is still active on this thread or not but I figured I'd try. I was accepted to USF's program starting in May. I was told by an alumni there (she graduated this year) that the first semester is all online and that we only meet once in the very beginning in person? 

Is this still the case for you all? Did you really only meet once? and if sooo, do you think it'd be a bad idea to wait until around June to start the move back down to florida? I feel like it'd probably be better to move there before the semester started but we're working on trying to have a wedding before we move.. sorry for all the questions, thank you guys so much 🙂

congrats! I start in May as well. Yes, you have to meet for class the first week for USF attendance policy as well as the orientation on March 28th.

After that they said it is online for the first semester to give students time to move and get settled before the "real" semesters start in August! I think you have time with everything in June. ☺️

Congratulations that's awesome. I started this May and what you've heard is partially correct. The 1st semester is online and it used to be standard to have one week of intensives on campus at the beginning of the semester.  My cohort was informed  that we didn't have to do the one week intensive. Maybe they'll bring that back for you guys, I wouldn't know. I think you'd be fine moving in June. You'll have an orientation you have to go to before the semester starts but outside of that it's all online till the fall. We had people attending from the west coast with no problem. Congrats again, so far the school has been worth it.

Hey congrats, I am currently in the program now. They actually got rid of the first week attendance requirement. You will be required to attend a one day orientation after that the entire first semester will be online with one remote synchronous class meaning you will be live online together once weekly. We had many people that moved closer to August. That should be no problem!

OMG. my girlfriend says thank you so much lmao. we really really appreciate the help.

I knew about the in person orientation on March 28th but I was looking and saw on the USF website it said "In addition, every student is expected to attend live Intensives typically offered in the first week of Summer semester"... soooo I was just a little worried.

so for sure no live intensives, and people have certainly been capable and definitely have moved closer to august. you are a hero. thank you so much my friend.

thank you so much for the info too, especially so quickly. I am super excited to meet everyone. I've been complaining about living in Indiana for literally 10 years now and finally got my perfect chance to move back home to South Florida. I'm so ready! thank you again 🙂

thank you for your answer 🙂 isn't this crazy?! I've been out of school for 4 years so I'm really nervous about getting back into it. but everyone seems so great and the program is incredible. and there is a Publix on campus. the only Publix on a college campus in the entire world. and we're going there! I've missed Publix so much lmao.
