University of South Alabama MSN program Fall 2013

Anyone else starting the adult-gero primary care NP program in the fall? I submitted my Acceptance Packet but I did not get a confirmation that it was received. I did get an email about purchasing books but I have yet to find an actual start date. Anyone have any info?

Hello Piper222, I'm currently enrolled in the Summer 2013 FNP/Acult Acute Care Program, I start the next semester this coming Monday. The booklist can be found on the USA MSN page, I just purchased my books.

Hey borntowearscrubs are you still starting the program next week? I am too and I'm feeling kind of lost with this orientation

I really like the program, the workload is pretty decent, just working on school work any day i'm off for the most part. Good luck this semester!

The workload is very doable. I work full time and have been able to manage so far. I will likely have to cut back my work hours when clinicals start.

Hi Piper222,

Are you in clinicals now? Have you had to go ahead and cut back on work hours? I'm considering applying for an NP with USA but will need to work (preferably full time) during the program and wanted to see how possible that is. Also, I'm in NC too. So I'm guessing the NC BON accepts this USA and will let you sit for the board exam after graduation?
