Hi there! I saw some posts (mostly negative) about USA's FNP program from a few years ago. I may be overly-optimistic in hoping they're improved the program, but I'd love to hear some current comments about this program as well. Thanks!

No lecture. Mostly reading assignments but there's been some powerpoints and some forum discussions. There are active FB groups for the classes I'm in which has been helpful with peer suppot. Youtube channels such as Khan academy have been great resource as well for pathophys. I'm just into the first semester so I'm not sure if this will be representative of future classes.

Hi

What is the FB group name??

I am finishing my second semester and so far so good.

Hi I am looking to start the dual program in Fall of 2018!! I would like to know current students opinions on the coursework. What is the teaching format? How are the tests? Is the faculty supportive?

Hi, I just finished the second semester. I chose the school because I am in Florida and I know other's who gradated and had no difficulty in finding a job. I would recommend taking pharmacology and advanced patho prior to starting.

Specializes in Home Health, Primary Care.

May I ask why you recommend this? Is it because you found their pharm and patho classes unsatisfactory? TIA

I would have taken the courses while I was waiting to get into the program which would have lessened the course load. (it was one year from date of application to actually starting the program)
