University of South Alabama FNP Fall 2023

Hi all! I applied for the USA FNP program for fall 2023! I submitted my application in March and the follow-up email from 'congrad' said I'd hear back at least two weeks after 4/1. I was wondering if there's anyone else out there who applied so we can all wait together?! Or if anyone already went through the application process for previous semesters and was admitted.... How long after did you find out? I keep refreshing my email even though the deadline isn't until Saturday and it's killing me!

I don't remember when it closed but they extended it by a few weeks and still had to wait a couple weeks after that extension deadline to find out if I got in or not. 

I withdrew from USA. I was in their DNP dual role FNP/ENP Program but decided to leave the ED full-time d/t burn out and went to the ICU. I only did 3 classes (Patho and 2 other writing courses). I didn't learn a thing in Patho because the content was so vast that it was nearly impossible to actually self-guide and study while the exams were open book. I did learn one thing that confirmed my suspicion...I'm not built for an online program. I need brick and mortar instruction.

Ah I hope we don't have to wait because they just extended the deadline until 6/1. When I called to confirm that my deadline of 4/1 was still legit they said yes, but the other person in this group said her deadline was 3/1 and she still hasn't heard.... So now I don't have high hopes. I got into Carson Newman & university of Cincinnati and I'm highly considering Cincinnati now even though it's expensive, but has very high academic and student ratings. Thank you for telling me your opinion and experience of USA!

I  am so glad I am not by myself. Other cohorts heard within 4 weeks back. I was also accepted to Emory University and would like to know before paying a $500 non refundable seat securement. I thought that maybe I just did not get in LOL but this gives me much peace of mind that is definitely necessary. Hopefully we will be classmates.

This is great news. Hopefully Monday ?? as I am anxiously waiting for the same email and refreshing my browser as well.

Congrats! I haven't received anything so I'm not feeling very hopeful but I guess it's not over yet! When did you apply?

I applied about a week before 3-1-23. A friend of mine completed the program a year ago and was very pleased, enough so that two in my unit will be attending USA this fall. Congratulations and best of luck to all of you.

Ahh congrats! I applied after the 3/1 deadline so I'm wondering if I'll be the second wave? Hopefully they at least let me know if I didn't get it though too so I'm not sitting here waiting forever! I'm glad to hear you know someone who likes it thus far!

My application was complete on 2/6. I'm sure that's why I was in the early acceptance. Thank you and hope you get your good news soon!
