Hi just created this thread to see if anyone else applied for USA DNP program. I didn't see one created so I figured I would start it.
I love the legitimate psych cases, and can see it from a personal perspective. Psych is overall an overlooked group of individuals. Somebody's gotta do it :)
Well you guys can have the psych patients. I had to float to our psych unit once a week and I swear I felt more like I was at a family reunion. I could identify every single patient with a family member. So...I get plenty of psych exposure at each and every family gathering.

Most people that choose to work in psych - want it because of some aspect of themselves they need to heal.I've done the ED thing. Nurses were crazier than any psych patient I have EVER met. Lololl.
Lol! I have been an ED nurse for many years and I can't say this statement is all together wrong. Just like psych, it takes a certain type of person to be able to effectively function in that department. A certain level of crazy is almost a prerequisite for both fields.
