Overall GPA: 3.17

Pre-requisites GPA: 3.83

Experiences: CNA & secretary at two hospitals, volunteer

LORS from director and supervisor

I took the time to write the essay responses. My academic history would be one of the worst since I did have Cs, Ds, and Fs. It took a long time for me to raise my GPA and finish the prerequisites.

I do not have a lot of extensive experience aside from working as a CNA and secretary. I do have longevity at my workplace. 

My grades are not the best but I think the essays help me to get a waitlist spot.

I also got in the SF location! I'm from OC, does anyone know how housing works/looking for housing? 

For those planning to reapply, I recommend really focusing on the essays and explain not just why you want to be a nurse but a nurse leader specifically! My overall GPA for undergrad was a 3.8 but I did get an C in physio and B in anatomy so I don't think grades were a HUGE part in acceptance...my LORs were from a clinical supervisor and an advisor from a non-profit org I was in. Goodluck to those reapplying and congrats to those that got in, hopefully I'll see you guys on campus 🙂

I got accepted to the SF location! Excited to meet on campus! 

I feel like they do really focus on how well you write your essay and the LoR's. I poured my heart into my essay and talked a lot about how I would make an impact as a nurse specifically in SF and the Bay Area. 
Undergrad GPA : 3.5 

I did get mostly A's and some B's with my prerequisites but I also retook some so I feel like grades don't have the most impact. 
 

I worked at a non-profit clinic for over a year and currently work at another clinic supporting low income. 
 

My LoR's were strong and knew me well and gave lengthy recommendations about how I would perform as a nurse and student.
