Hello everyone! I know it is early but I wanted to get the discussion for University of San Francisco MESN Spring 2024 started. What is everyone stats?

I'm not sure about that. I heard from a professor they do consider grades obviously but I don't know about how they decides on other factors. I emailed them and they said mid November but the previous cohorts found out around Nov. 3rd to 9th ish.
Hi!
I applied to the Spring cohort as well, I graduated with my BS in Nutrition Science with a 3.5 cum GPA/ 3.5 pre req GPA. I don't have any nursing experience prior so I am nervous in that aspect! I hear we will hear back in the beginning of November, though someone I know said she did not find out until like the month before. I am also applying to SFSU, UNR, and UC Davis for their ABSN and MESN respectively.

Hi! I called today and was told that we would be notified anytime from early to mid November. Good luck!

I've also applied to UC Davis. Do you have a first choice? Good luck with everything ???

Literally anywhere I can get in is my first choice ? I was hoping for UNR only because it's a year long program for their ABSN and I have housing options there, but their program seems ridiculously competitive and only based on a matrix score w/ no recommendations or personal statements. I am from SF originally so USF would be the most convenient location wise, but I am super willing to commute or temporarily rent in Davis if necessary! Nursing programs are so dang competitive. How about you?

I feel you.
I'm really hoping for UC Davis because it's the most convenient. I know that sounds like a bad reason to pick a program but I have 2 kids I really don't want to uproot again since we just moved to CA 6 months ago to be closer to family. I have a sister in SF so USF is a possibility for exam days or days I don't want to commute. The cost of living in SF is too high and I would need to keep my job at least part time. The problem with that is it would really cut into my studying and I don't even know if my company would give that option. Do you plan to enroll into whichever accepts you first or wait for the results from all the schools?

I'm not sure yet! I think I want to see which schools I get accepted or waitlisted into before making the final decision. I get it though! I have a toddler and I worry about moving too many times while he's getting established with preschool/school... there's no good answer!! You've totally got this though, Davis has an amazing program from what I've heard! One of my undergrad professors did her graduate program there and loved it.
