Is this your first time applying to this program? I'm curious what to expect.

This is my first time but you can find previous cohorts threads and that might help you

Thank you and good luck to all of us!!

How does everyone feel about their applications? I'm super nervous. Never thought I'd be applying to a masters program

Right!  Same here.  I feel pretty confident, but at the same time I'm wondering what they really pay attention to or more of....as a whole package application?  Meaning experience and grades.  I was unable to apply to SF State's ABSN program since they changed what semester they start now.  I have one prerequisite in progress.  I wish everyone the best and just hang in there.  Think positive!!

I feel good but nervous. I heard from my advisor they like to look at grades but from previous cohorts sometimes experience is also just as valuable.

Does anyone know when we should hear back? They gave a date during the Zoom info session but I forget what they said it was.

Based on the previous cohorts, I believe it should be around Thanksgiving

Hi! Does anyone know how many they're accepting into the Spring 2024 SF cohort? TYIA!!

Specializes in EMT-B.

I have submitted my application for the OC campus. My stats are not strong as I graduated from undergrad with a 3.1 GPA. I have since returned to community college for my prereqs for a 4.0 GPA. Cumulatively I have a 3.28 GPA. Despite this, I have over 2.5k hrs of pt care experience as an EMT and strong letters of rec along with, supposedly, a strong personal statement. A few days after submitting my app to SFU, I was accepted to Johns Hopkins' direct-entry MSN program. If I can get in, anyone can.
