There isn't a recent forum so I wanted to create one!

I have 0 clinical experience, but a lot of research projects and I work as a program coordinator for a women's health program. I think the personal statement + having strong letters of recommendation are important.

Thank you for sharing! I appreciate it. For those who got accepted, I would love to hear more about each of your guys' background and how you made your application stronger! Would love for any feedback so that I can improve on mine and reapply here for the OC campus.

May I ask what you did for your application that got you in? Did you happen to take the GRE? I emailed them for feedback on why I didn't get in, so hoping to hear back from them. Also for those who didn't get in, is it too soon to reapply to the September 1 deadline? I'm not sure what to do because the gap between Feb 1 - Sept 1 isn't that big for any major changes in regards to experiences and whatnot.

I was accepted and I did not take the GRE. On my resume I have volunteer experience as a care giver for a little over a year, during undergrad I worked as a volunteer research assistant at UCSF medical center. Graduated December 2022 with my bachelors in psychology and post grad I worked as a behavioral technician and worked at 2 non-profits. Like the person said above I also think a strong personal statement and letters of recommendations go a very long way! Hope this helps 🙂 feel free to reach out if you have more questions, I'm glad to help especially because I know what it's like to be on the other side of things & waiting (applied to 2 programs for the fall 2024 semester but didn't get in). I took the last year to make the necessary adjustments to my application, applied to USF for the fall 2025 semester and got in! Good luck!

Thank you so much! :') I would love to reach out to you personally for a deeper dive and input on my personal statements, but the website won't let me privately message you. Is there any way we can connect off of this website?

I'm still waiting to here back! but did anyone get their LOR submitted after the Feb. 1st deadline?

Hi;

I am confused on how many total units this is. On the website it says both 68 units and 92? Which one is it?

I reached out to admissions and they told me 92... The tuition, room, board, and books are adding up to a big loan :((.

Heavily considering a SoCal program that is much cheaper.

Close to $125k is not making it worth it...

Yeah I agree. I feel like 1) not reflecting the actual price of the ME-MSN on their financial aid page with the incorrect amount of units of 24 units 2) not updating their websites to reflect the actual unit of 92 makes me question their transparency and whether they're intentionally misleading prospective students about the true cost of the program.

Agree! Cost of Living in SF is already as high as it is and interest rates of getting a loan are high too.

Making a dent into that loan is asking me if it is worth to go here compared to a ABSN / MSN in another state.

I got in for the SF campus! Is anyone looking for roomies to live with near campus? Feel free to reach out if your looking for a roomie or would like to connect before school starts! 🙂

Hey everyone! I was accepted to the USF ME-MSN SF campus (super excited and grateful!) but I've been really thinking about the cost lately... Between tuition, fees, and SF's cost of living, it's looking like highly over $120k 😬

I've been comparing it to some ABSN and MSN programs in other states that are way more affordable and even shorter in length.

Is anyone else who got in also thinking about other programs with a better cost-to-value ratio? Curious how others are approaching this decision!

I applied for the SF campus and got put on the waitlist. However, I had already been accepted to a local CC ADN. Honestly, even if I were to get off of the waitlist, I would still pick the ADN program. I can still get my masters later on and ask the hospital I'm working for to pay for it. The cost of the entry MSN along with cost of living is definitely a lot, especially if you're going to be taking out loans.
