I created this thread for anyone who applied/applying/got accepted to USF BSN or program. If anyone has any insight, words of wisdom, or anything else that might be useful, it would be much appreciated. Here is a little info about myself to kick this off...
I am currently living in the SF bay area and Im finishing off a few courses before I transfer to a 4 year college next semester. I applied for USF's BSN fall 15 program and here are some of my STATS:
*Academics: I have a 3.8 in my prereqs and a 3.5 (overall) GPA.
*Experience/Volunteer Work: I am a Army veteran with 8 years of experience in health care. ( I have worked in the ICU & ER, at Brooke Army Medical Center for about 6 months. Went on several humanitarian missions which consisted of providing medical aid to rural communities in developing countries. I've also done a tour in Afghanistan, working in a combat support hospital.)
* Personal statement: Writing has never been my strong suit... :-/.. but I wrote it in story format (based on my deployment) and how the values of the military compliment USF's core values.
*Letter of Recommendation: My human anatomy instructor (PhD)
Lastly, I'll keep everyone posted on my application status if any future students want to use this thread as a point of reference.
I'm starting to lose hope too. Although, I'm confused because the last time someone called or talked to them they said everyone will know by May 1st. So maybe they'll still send out more ? Idk.

i know it's more stressful knowing some already got theirs but let's be patient. I know we'll be great whichever we go.
USF is like my only hope, I also applied to Csueb but I think I have more chance to get in usf, knowing CSUs are too hard to get in. Really really praying for either one of them to get me accepted. seriously I don't have any backup major if I didn't get in. I only want bsn
I hadn't received an email, so i jokingly checked the mail like i always do; low and behold guess whats sitting in my box? Apparently I/we have until May 31st to confirm our plans to attend. Best of luck to everyone!

I guess I could share my stats.
Gpa: 3.52
Science Gpa: 3.75 (3.82 at the end of this semester)
My personal statement was phenomenal; it directly tied my volunteer experience at a very well known hospital with USFCA's Project Learn Belize and my desire to work in the Peace Corps.
I also feel I had a strong letter of recommendation from my Anatomy/Physiology teacher
Guys I got my acceptance today!!! So excited and relieved. I live in San Mateo which is 15 miles south of SF. Also, I never received an email about a package coming! Good luck to the rest of you!!!!!!
