Hello everyone!
I wanted to start a forum for those who applied to University of San Francisco BSN nursing fall 2018. I just finished my application and submitted all my documentation last week. I am very nervous but extreamly excited to find out if I am accepted. USF is my dream school. Let's stick together in this as we anticipate our answers!
My statistics:
Transfer student from Diablo Valley College
3.55 pre-req GPA
3.75 overall (76 credits)
150 hours volunteer service at John Muir Center for Recovery
50 hours volunteer service at Northbrook nursing home
Phi Theta Kappa honor society member
Alpha Gamma Sigma honor society member
4-H member 13 years
My personal statement was a creative short story of my first experience with community service at age 8 and my care for a family member after they had a severe stroke.
I will call in a couple days if we don't hear anything. The people that generally answer the phone for undergraduate admissions are students. They give out different information every time that I call. I think we should listen to the admission counselor, and wait till Tuesday for a response. I know the letters are out because my friend got his rejection letter on Saturday. Crossing fingers that we'll be notified within the next couple of days.
I got my admission letter today! Starting fall 2018 with clinicals starting spring 2019! I got an email on April 20 stating that changes have been made to my portal and had a letter of acceptance there as well. Best wishes to you all! Hope to see you guys soon!
Did you apply to the Bachelor's program or the Master's/Graduate program?
From what I was told by an admissions counselor was that there would be several rounds of decisions going out. The first would be rejections for those who didn't meet GPA or class requirements. Second, there would be the main round of acceptance letters which I was told would be by end of this week. The final round would basically be acceptance/rejection letters for those who didn't receive a letter during the the main round of acceptances; basically letters sent out to students who were put on the waitlist.

My portal doesn't show anything different either. Does anyone know if all letters are being sent out at the same time? I saw something from a previous year's post saying letters were sent out at different times depending on your admission decision.
