Hello everyone!
I wanted to start a forum for those who applied to University of San Francisco BSN nursing fall 2018. I just finished my application and submitted all my documentation last week. I am very nervous but extreamly excited to find out if I am accepted. USF is my dream school. Let's stick together in this as we anticipate our answers!
My statistics:
Transfer student from Diablo Valley College

3.75 overall (76 credits)
150 hours volunteer service at John Muir Center for Recovery
50 hours volunteer service at Northbrook nursing home
Phi Theta Kappa honor society member
Alpha Gamma Sigma honor society member
4-H member 13 years
My personal statement was a creative short story of my first experience with community service at age 8 and my care for a family member after they had a severe stroke.
Hello everyone, I got accepted into the Nursing Program at the Sacramento school, and the only thing I receive was the email a week ago, but I wanted to know if everyone who got a letter in the mail confirming they were selected if they paid the $750 deposit for their seat in the program? I was told to get anything in the mail, I had to pay the deposit.
as well and very surprised about needing to take & pass the HESI
Students have started a petition to change the sophomore 2 progression policy. For example to not make students pay $1600 for the remediation "course" and maybe give students 2 tries before remediation. Hopefully something will come of it especially because a lot of the SO2 that just took it last week didn't pass. So I'm hoping there will be a change for you all but it seems like it may be an uphill battle.
Hey everyone. I just got off the phone with operations. Apparently the first batch of transfer acceptances were sent out a couple weeks ago. The date to accept for those students is May 15th. They have a certain amount of seats they have to fill, so if the first batch of transfer students don't accept before May 15th then they will be looking into more applicants. Operations stated that they are still considering my application, so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.
