Published

Hello everyone!

I wanted to start a forum for those who applied to University of San Francisco BSN nursing fall 2018. I just finished my application and submitted all my documentation last week. I am very nervous but extreamly excited to find out if I am accepted. USF is my dream school. Let's stick together in this as we anticipate our answers!

My statistics:

Transfer student from Diablo Valley College

3.55 pre-req GPA

3.75 overall (76 credits)

150 hours volunteer service at John Muir Center for Recovery

50 hours volunteer service at Northbrook nursing home

Phi Theta Kappa honor society member

Alpha Gamma Sigma honor society member

4-H member 13 years

My personal statement was a creative short story of my first experience with community service at age 8 and my care for a family member after they had a severe stroke.

3.387 Cumulative GPA

B- in Anatomy, B in Physiology, Microbiology and Psychology currently in progress

75 hours volunteering at VA San Francisco Hospital

125 hours currently volunteering at Kaiser Roseville

To be honest, I have no idea how I got in HAHA.

@sammiantha I didn't ask that. I assume this week and next week. The other students that already got their acceptance letters need to pay deposit tomorrow in order to enter. So hopefully we'll here by end of this week or beginning of next.

@nona18 well you have a lot of volunteer work which is great! Did you have letters of recommendation and what was your personal statement about? I know that the personal statement is extremely important.

Does anyone hear back from admission yet? Didn't they say we will have the result after May 15th?

Oh yeah i did bad on my TEAS (72 after 3 tries) and im sure thats why i got rejected from SFSU & CSUEB. Whoops!

Hi CMahal,

Congrats! You said you got rejected by CSUEB, did you ask them the reason? They gave me a pretty detail result, mainly because my volunteer hours wasn't enough. You have awesome GPA and I am just pass their lowest requirement(3.6x). So I am wondering why they turned you off.

@Christina I talked with them today. They said in the next week or two the second round of letters are going out.

@tessalynngarcia Thanks for the info. I was reading this whole thread today, and I saw we people were waiting for months and months... keep fingers crossed!!!

Which number have you guys been calling? I want to call on Monday and ask for an update.

*(415) 422-6563‬ This is the admissions office

@Dahlface, did you call today?

The person that picked up didn't really have any information for me. All she could say is that they would be coming out "soon". But didn't know if it's this week or next week. She transferred me to a counselor but they didn't pick up :(

Hey guys, @Christina Hao mentioned on the other thread that they're going to be mailing out the second batch of letters no later than tomorrow.
