University of San Diego (USD) MEPN

Hey just wondering if anyone else has applied to the mepn program for next fall? I have but don't think my chances are great. I hold a cumulative 3.2 G.P.A., although all A's and two Bs in the prerequisites. I also competed 190 units so I've taken very hard science classes and hope they take that into account, I also graduated with deans honors and a 3.8 from with my bachelors. I also do many extracurriculars and have worked as an emt and an ED tech to hopefully compensate for my below average G.P.A. what are your guys stats and if you'd like to share what other schools are you applying to?

Thats so strange you got denied from UC Davis, I never understand how admissions work at times. Ranking wise, USD is higher than UCD I believe. USD was my safe school and my top two were UVA and Columbia and I got a full ride to UVA so I accepted, although I am waiting to hear back from Columbia. USD is a great program but its major appeal is also due to it being in San Diego so they get numerous applicants, it's amazing you got in, take great pride in that! Don't be discouraged by the other admissions but I'm sure you'll get in the rest!

Yes I was thinking the same thing, hoping the interview for USD goes well. Congratulations on a full ride!! That's so amazing

The beautiful thing about nursing unlike other degrees like law is that no one cares where you go!! You clearly have the tenacity and pertinacity to succeed so I hope you do well my friend! Keep us updated with your admissions! Kill the interview

How's everyone feeling?

Me too, me too. Do you feel prepared at least?

Super nervous but excited!

Has anyone got a follow up email on details of what's going to happen on Friday?

So nervous! But also very excited. Hopeful that I have prepared enough. Good luck to everyone. 🙂

I received an email on Monday 1/27 with the agenda for the day and details such as parking.

I haven't received a follow up email yet... should I email them?

Hmmm, I would check your spam inbox! If you can't find it anywhere, perhaps reach out so they can forward it to you.

Just received! It's getting real!! Good luck to everyone, & can't wait to potentially meet you all on Friday :)

Yay! Good! We got this you guys.
any idea how many people were invited to interview vs how many spots are available? I hope it's all of us on this thread getting accepted 🙏 seems weird that there aren't too many people posting about it compared to previous cohorts.....

I noticed that too... I'm not sure besides the people on this thread. I heard that the cohort back in 2021 was 20 something people but that the cohorts have tripled in size since then... hoping all of us to get an offer letter sometime in march!!
