University of San Diego MEPN 2016

Hi all!!! I know it is early but I thought I would start this thread. Is anyone else getting their information ready and applying for Fall 2016?

Hey guys! How was everyone's interview?!? As much as I had enjoyed the two day event, I am happy it is all over.

Now comes the waiting game.

I felt like the interview was very conversational, but there were so many impressive people at the events so it's super intimidating! I'm very glad it's over but it's going to be a long two weeks

My interview was pretty conversational too. I was also in awe after meeting and speaking with a bunch of you and learning about many of your backgrounds! We're a diverse bunch for sure. I definitely appreciated how open everyone was too (current MEPNS, faculty, and all the applicants).

Yes exactly! It seemed like a very supportive / nurturing environment. I'd definitely have a hard time saying no if I get in [emoji16]

Curious and just wanted to see if anyone is considering an ABSN program either over this program or as a backup? Mind sharing what may be influencing your decision if you get accepted to both?

I was going to ask you which school is your top choice!

I haven't decided which school is my top choice since I haven't heard from all of them yet.

Same here. I've only heard from Drexel ABSN and Samuel Merritt ABSN both with acceptances. Both are very well respected schools, which would allow me to start practicing quick!!! However, the campus and facilities at USD are very intriguing, and so is the thought of living in beautiful San Diego. I would say USD, Samuel Merritt ABSN, Rush University, and UC Davis are currently my top 4. I hope I get the opportunity to make that tough decision.

What if you don't even have a portal?

They said they'd send me my login info a couple months ago (which they didn't), but I figured why bother in case I don't get in haha.

They never sent me my portal number either. I had to go look for it online. Let me try to get you the link I used to look up my ID #.

I never got one either, but now i wish i had one!

I found the link to claim the account previously, but you need an ID number which I don't have. I won't worry about it now though. I just sent another email to ask for them to send me my login information, so whatever happens happens. Good luck to everyone if this is your first choice.
