University of Rochester - May 2022 ABPNN

Published

Hey guys, anyone applying to U of R's ABPNN May 2022 cohort? I haven't seen anyone post about it yet, so I figured I would start it.

U of R is my top choice as I am from the upstate New York area, but I also applied to UB and Stony Brook. Here are my completed pre-req grades: A&P I: A+,  A&P II: A+,  statistics: A-. I am currently taking nutrition and will be taking growth & development next semester. I am also a senior public health major right now, graduating this Spring, and I have worked in a nursing home as a geri-aide for the past year. Not direct healthcare experience, but I learned a lot there!

Good luck to anyone else applying, would love to chat more and get to know you guys! ?

Good luck you guys! I will say, I believe I got my acceptance a few days after they said they would go out as well. I did end up going to this program and am currently in my third and final semester. If you guys choose to go to U of R and ever have any questions, feel free to reach out :)

Congrats! I'm still waiting to see if I got into their MSN-FNP program as well or not. I do have a random question, though, out of curiosity... do you know if many people were offered scholarships for the ABSN? I was surprised (in a very good way!) to see that I was.

Yes, I believe a lot of people in my cohort actually were and I was as well (a pretty good chunk of change in fact, which I would not have been able to go to the school without). It may be this way though because my cohort is the smallest they have ever had (started out at 32 people, down to 26; most we lost in the first couple weeks).

Wow, that's awesome! I was really surprised by it, because it is a significant amount.

I had a question about the Accelerated BSN  program, I got waitlisted for it even though I applied to the direct entry MSN program. How do people have to accept their acceptance to the school? Also do you get the scholarship when you get accepted to is it offered with the decision letter? I know that it isn't offered to everyone! Sorry guys, I'm just all over the place! Congrats to everyone that got accepted!!
