Hello , I'd like to start a thread for the ABPNN May start. I interviewed sometime early October. This is for anyone with any questions. Also please! Any, advice from prior applicants and alumni would be much appreciated!

congrats!!!

what were your stats and experiences like?

i want to apply again

If you are asking me, my undergrad gpa is 3.2 with 3.7-3.8 for prerequisite. Had a year of experience as an MA but I was very involved with patient care. My background is also diverse.

I received a scholarship with my offer for those who are wondering. I’m just curious if there is an information session or anything like that since our start date is sometime in May? Can someone verify the exact date? I also got into Hopkins for their entry lvl man program but it’s quite expensive and it’s 22 months vs 12 months to be an RN which is why I’m considering Rochester. Anyone here on the same boat?

Hey guys I was accepted too but also got a spot at university of Miami so trying to decide. Does anyone know the program start date? Sorry I didn’t read through the whole thread either, does anyone have any good housing info? Like good neighborhoods, average cost? Did anyone find out if they got Scholarships with their admission or do we find out later? I’m really torn and not sure what to do so if anyone has any good info about the program in general I would super appreciate it. I’d be moving from California also! Congrats everyone

Did you visit u of r? If so, I think you would know if it’s the school for you!

That is understandable, it’s tough to decide without seeing it. I grew up in Rochester until I was in my 20s, so I know the city and what I’m getting into. Miami is going to obviously be more diverse, more expensive, etc. Maybe you’d have to determine whether you are moving for city or school and start there?

Is there a Facebook group for admitted students? Think I decided I’ll be attending ??

I just made one. If anyone has any recommendations or requests to change it/add to it let me know! Anyone who's more experienced in managing groups let me know and I'll happily make you an admin!

Yeah they won't process your application if you don't pay. That's true for all programs really.
