Hi all,

I haven't found a forum for U of Roch nursing for Fall 2019. So I thought I should start one!

Hi everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone has heard back from yet?!

I was admitted into another program which gave me until the end of May to accept. I asked Nancy if she can give me an estimate of when admission decisions would go out and she said mid-June and advised to ask the other program for an extension.

Fingers crossed the send something out this week!!

Hi!

Congrats on your other acceptance!

I called on Friday and they said the 3rd week of June. I'm in the same boat as you. I also have to pay a deposit this week since we wont hear back on time and the only way the schools tend to give you extensions is if there is some issues like them not sending you the cost of attendance before you make your decision.

Decisions were given out to people who called on this day, exactly a year ago. Anyone wanna be the first to call Nancy to find out if decisions are available?

I called yesterday and was told that they would be sending out their decisions next week.

I called this morning and was told the same thing. I didn't speak to Nancy because she is out of the office until Monday. Apparently we will be receiving both email and postal mail decisions next week.

I’m sort of blah about it at this point. This is a horrible anxiety causing process.

I probably got waitlisted also because I literally submitted my final grades a few weeks ago. I would have to assume they had a pretty good idea of who was in and who wasn’t before that point, but the way things are going maybe not.

The price of the school is holding me back some, I’m unsure if I will accept at this point

Considering they were still doing interviews last week maybe they still held off on making any descisions...

I also agree with the price. I know a lot of ABSN programs cost this much, but the reason I'm hoping to get into Rochester is the fact that it is 12 months compared to some other schools I applied to that not just cost more, since they're longer programs, but also because I know rent and the amount of interest I would accumulate would have been a lot more. That's why I ended up rejecting a school recently and hope I get into Rochester's program.

All of this is a bit stressful at this point, especially having to deal with loans that big. Never needed to take one out for my undergrad but will be now.

Yea I’m worried That’s basically a 100k loan, on top of my undergrad. Idk how I’ll pay that back. But I agree, the one year for a BSN is an awesome deal. Hopefully we all get answers next week. Are you a resident of Rochester?

No. I'm from California. I've applied mostly out of state due to many of the programs being limited and in high cost areas in CA that I decided if I'm gonna be moving far from home and paying rent might as well look at programs out of state as well.

How about you?

I’m from Buffalo, so about 90min away I would still like to move closer to school I just want enough time to make it all happen lol. I hope we get notice next week so I can put things in motion if need be.

Hi folks! I'm just curious what the age range is for everyone. I think I'm a little older to be applying to the program and just wondering what the group might look like if I get in. Does anyone here have spouses and kids?

Hi ! I am 28- I guess would consider myself as a mature student. Will also be coming out of state! How about yourself?
