Hi all,

I haven't found a forum for U of Roch nursing for Fall 2019. So I thought I should start one!

Hi, I'm Rebecca! May I ask who you had your interview with and what types of questions they asked? I just scheduled mine for next week! I'm so excited and nervous!

Hey guys, I am a newly accepted student for the May cohort. Feel free to ask me any questions you would like!

Hi Rebecca!
I had my interview with the Interim Admissions Director! She was very easygoing, I, on the other hand, was extremely nervous and pretty much stuttered my whole way through the interview. She asked me to talk about myself other than what was on my resume. Why nursing. Why UofR. What leadership skills can you bring into the program. What was a difficult situation you faced and how did you resolve it. This is a vigorous program, how do you see yourself succeeding. Then she opened the floor to any questions I had in return. My interview lasted around 35 minutes. Good luck to you!!

Hi! If you dont mind me asking, did they offer you a good financial aid package? Also, do you know how many people were interviewed out of the applicants? or do they interview all applicants?

Thank you!

Wow! Thank you for all of that great information Vivian! My interview is with a clinical instructor. I'm sure many of the questions are the same though. It sounds like you took up a good amount of time interviewing so I'm sure you did well. Good luck to you too!!

Hey!

I believe they offer scholarships to specific students if you meet their criteria. Otherwise most students take out federal and personal loans for the program. The only issue is that it takes a long while after you get accepted to hear back about the aide packages...that was the case for us.

As for interviews, I believe they get 300-400 applications and around 120-140 get interviewed. From what I have heard from my peers, about 60-63 people get acceptances and 25ish being in the waitlist.

Hope that helps

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let people know that I've just been called to schedule an interview today and believe that many of you will be hearing back soon. They said they've been busy with graduation this month and so hopefully everyone hears back soon!

Good luck!

Hey all!

I interviewed last week and was told we would hear back late June- early July! Hopefully we hear back sooner.

Hi everyone!

I had my interview on the 21st of May and was told we would hear back mid-June. I really hope that will be the case and not actually in July.

I also read on the website that it takes about 2 weeks after interviews are completed for people to hear back. However, having seen what occurred with the last cohort does not make it seem that it may be the case

Hi all !

I am wondering if anyone has heard anything back yet!

I was super nervous when I was interviewing and hope I didn’t ruin my chances !

I didn't hear anything back yet and I had my interview 3 weeks ago. I dont think anybody heard back yet.

Do you mind me asking when yours was?

My interview was 3 weeks ago as well ! I don’t know if I should call in and ask how it went.

Maybe I will call in a week if I don’t hear back!

I wonder how many applicants they have this cohort. Do you know :)?
