I just got accepted into U of R's accelerated bachelors nursing program. Just wanted to start a thread to see who else is going there!
Has anyone heard word about their acceptance yet? I'm so anxious to hear! I know its early but I had my interview about a month ago and I want to go to Rochester soooo badly. If I get in I may faint because of happiness and if I don't get in I might faint because of sadness. Keeping my fingers crossed. Also the program is pretty competitive, especially now with the uproar of prospective students at all nursing programs. I'm pretty sure Rochester looks at your whole package being that they have a required interview. I know references are really important, and any experience in the health care field would definitely help even if it's only a little!
I had my interview last month too. Haven't heard anything yet, but I am very nervous and can't wait! Did you interview in person or over the phone, and who did you interview with?
Hi! I have a question for anyone who is already in the accelerated program. I am starting in January and am waiting to find out the specifics of my financial aid/federal loans, but the financial aid counselor said that I can start the loan application process while I'm still waiting. What private/alternative loan companies have you used? Which are the most common or popular among the students? Thanks so much!

Hi everyone,Just wondering how did U of R contact you for an interview? I submitted my app on the due date and have not heard anything yet. I've got decisions to make on another acceptance and am totally nervous.
You should have heard from them right away. I heard from them 2 days after I sent in my application, by phone. You should contact Nancy Kita in the admissions office.
I applied for Fall 2010, so I thought I'd jump in and say hi... I sent my application in September, got a phone call the next day and did a phone interview the day after that. I don't think they had many apps at that point though. They told me the massive majority are overnighted the day of the deadline. They also told me they'll notify late December/early January.
Good luck to us all!
