I just got accepted into U of R's accelerated bachelors nursing program. Just wanted to start a thread to see who else is going there!
syberian: Definitely post the minute you hear something because you will most definitely get your mail a couple days before me!
yreyes: I think it really depends on the degree, like syberianpuppy said. If you get a BSN out of it then I'd say it's definitely a great option, especially since it's close to you and you wouldn't have to move. But if it's just a certificate or an LPN or something like that, I'd choose Rochester and get the higher degree.
msnee: Don't worry! Relax and enjoy your summer. I believe the deadline for Jan. admissions isn't until July 1st, so I assume you won't be hearing from them until end of July for an interview (at least that's how it was for me, deadline was March 1st and I heard end of March).
Syberianpuppy, did you hear yet? I keep checking the mail every day! In fact, I'm so paranoid that I won't even let my boyfriend get the mail. I'm scared he'll find a small envelope!
Omg! I'm doing the same thing about being the only one allowed to get the mail!
"What is this?"
"The mail"
"I SAID ONLY I AM ALLOWED TO GET THE MAIL!!!"
"....AHH! Ok ok I'm sorry. Want me to put it back in the mailbox??"
"Ugh.."
Nothing yet - but usually I'm home when the mail comes (around noon) and today I'm out taking my last final exam and won't be home till tonight. Bleh....

Probably worth it for the BSN, don't you think? Is the CC just diploma?
I've read on other boards that some hospitals are going to BSN-only hiring.
