Hi All,

I looked and didn't see a thread started for Rochester yet, so I thought I would start one. Has anyone applied or heard anything back from the school. I spoke with them recently and they said it would 8-10 weeks before students would know.

I know I was really surprised since it was Saturday, but yes!

Hey everyone,

I know some of us just found out about our acceptance into the program but I wasn't sure how some of you stood on housing. I have been doing some research on housing and located student housing directly across from the nursing school. The have 5-6 units available January 1st. I plan on starting my application soon, (I heard these go fast) not sure if anyone wants to be in the same housing...could be good for studying , car pool, etc.

Hey y'all!

Congratulation on getting in!

I am a part of the May cohort. I am apart of a student lead group at UR called LIFT. We are here to help you transition into the program. I moved from xxxx so I know what its like.

I have created a Facebook page for yall to start to get things in order. There it would behove you to coordinate living arrangements etc. Ive attached the link below. It is titled University of Rochester ABPNN January 2017 (closed group) Add each other at your leisure and contact me as well.

These are houses that are being rented and usually 3-4 people per unit. After looking at availability there are 3 units for rent at 65 Irvington road. We get out own private room and bath (furnished)...$650/mo. This is 400 yards from the hospital and nursing school and the only one with more one unit available. The link that I posted will go through everything, including the application process. I have also joined the FB group.

Hi all!

I was accepted into the program over the weekend and am excited to start classes this coming January! I will be coming from California. I also would be interested in housing, if we can swing it. I checked out the housing website and the available units look great. I will join the Facebook group now.

Hi Jenna,

Congratulations! I'm going to submit my application for housing probably today. Since they are so close and limited inventory I'm sure they will go fast. If you want to do the same, if you feel comfortable about that would probably be good to. Let me know if you have any questions, I'm coming from Arizona. I'm trying to housing figured out ASAP!

CESNY, if you to also fill out your application too. We would all be in the same unit hopefully.

I have spoken with the contact at the housing and they told me that all the rooms at still available.

"yes there are three rooms all with private bath are available at 65 Irvington rd starting at 1/1/17. You should all fill out rental applications. This house is about 4 minute walk to the nursing school and there are actually nursing students currently in the house and they will be moving out. These rooms and the house are furnished.

Once i have your rental applications i will evaluate and let you know.
